awhttpd is unusable, producing an error message on start

awhttpd 0.95-1 produces an error message when invoked:

# awhttpd /usr/sbin/awhttpd: /usr/sbin/awhttpd: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

# awhttpd /tmp 80 /usr/sbin/awhttpd: /usr/sbin/awhttpd: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

sounds like trying to execute a x86 binary, which won't work for sure.

This would mean there is an x86 executable of awhttpd in the mipsel ipk-package on the FreeWRT download site?

yes. its a bug ... a strange one.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

fixed in svn. update to latest upstream version. webserver called axhttpd now. will be available in WIB in a few days when 1.0.2 is released.
