Description

Hi there,

I have a problem with reflashing above mentioned router with a new firmware.

I am working on a Windows XP PC with Putty and can connect via ssh to the router. The User is 'admin' and the password is 'FreeWRT'.

If I would like to reflash, I can't do the following: - due there is no web interface (yet) I can't go this way, as discribed in the documentation

- due that 'mtd' demands the new *.bin-file on the router in directory /tmp/ I need to copy this file to the router and run a script, which has also to be copied to the router...

- due that there is no running tftp server on the router, I can't connect to it by using a tftp client on my windows pc

I tried to connect from the router to my Western Digital NetCenter? offering NFS shares by using 'mount'. This does not work, because I am not 'root' and have 'superuser rights'. The router asks me the password for 'root user' which I didn't found in the documentation and on the webpages.

So how is it possible to get a new firmware on this router and get out of this hopless situation?

Best regards Olaf
