WDS link can and should be separate secured. If you do not
set wireless-wds-security, the WDS will not be secured. 
The nas4not binary (a symlink to nas) can only use WPA1 PSK with AES or TKIP.

whcih allows more compatibility on client side.

Sync dnsmasq with upstream version, which includes now a tftp and a bootp server. tftp tested. Now you can set up a PXE boot enviroment for diskless clients with FreeWRT only!

OK, we found some cases where the legacy ioctl-Interface is used to determinate ip and broadcast address from an interface (olsrd). For many years there is a netlink interface, but some programmers ignore it. With this interface it is not possible to see the internal broadcast route ("ip route show table local  | grep ^broadcast"). I added a "broadcast +" option to all example configs, the broadcast is then determinated automatically by the kernel (tested with various netmask combinations).

disable Linksys 1.x support. FreeWRT does not work on these devices and after I killed my Linksys 1.1 a few minutes ago, we are even not able to fix this issue. Golden rule, FreeWRT only supports devices we have access to. I am not sure if i get my Linksys JTAG'ed, but my uart tests failed. My UART works fine on Asus WL500g/Linksys WAP, but not on my Linksys WRT54G1.1. A very sad day, my first really dead *WRT since december 2004, where I got my first Linksys WRT54GS v1.0, still alive and one of my test machines, and started with OpenWrt....

I still have a problem with some SIM cards which initialize to
slow. In certain circumstance you already have a serial interface
but get an error "SIM NOT READY".

I added a small watchdog scripts useful for monitoring dial-up devices.
We need this because of unstable UMTS connections far outside of
our office.

If you set "watchdog on" in your interfaces the script checks each
minute if the interface is still present and UP.

After 3 failures the router will be rebooted immediately.

BTW: this is generic and might be used on every kind of interface.

stability fix for bugs #196, #165 and #204.

ebtables patch triggers a memleak in the ip route destination 
cache. even if you do not use ebtables, the bug is there. You just need
to use bridging, netfilter and routing. I normally never use bridging, 
because it is slow and unsecure (I mean WLAN-LAN bridge) therefore I never
had this problem on our productive routers.

I have no idea how to fix the ebtables bug, and I never use ebtables.
If somebody will fix the bug, we can add back ebtables for FreeWRT 1.1.

WIB will generate images with the bug fixed, so generate new images.

Results after discussion on the mailinglist. Dirk and Markus vote
for removing webif. I never wanted webif, because it is unmaintained
and does not work with ifupdown network configured systems.

FreeWRT goal is to be an appliance development kit, if someone
has time and fun to create a webbased wlan-dsl-router appliance,
which just works for home users, feel free to use FreeWRT as
base linux distribution.

It solves the stability problems with squashfs-overlay and squashfs-symlink 
filesystems. This is a performance issue. In OpenWrt whiterussian with 2.4.30 and

This seems to not help with 2.4.33.3 or 2.4.32. May be we will find
a better way later, but I don't care about performance, when my routers
crashes suddenly or different applications like cups behaving strange.

If you see in dmesg "Calibrating delay loop... 3.12 BogoMIPS", you
should definitively try -fno-delayed-branch.

and my thoughts were like, WTF did that and why?

relativify TOPDIR in prereq.mk and make it the first line

.config.cmd is not used (I think)
